It just takes too long for traditional Lithium batteries to charge and before you know it you have to replace a battery because it is depleted beyond its useful life.

Batteries are the weakest element in battery powered systems used to perform critical tasks. For critical need mobile devices, it poses two problems, extra batteries are needed to maintain continuous power critical for your task and your batteries take 3-4 hours to charge once their energy is consumed.

XFC’s new innovative battery technology process requires less than 10 minutes to recharge a battery when fully discharged. Current lithium technology battery life averages 500 - 1000 cycles, our new technology allows us to deliver over 2000 cycles.

With current lithium battery technology, additional batteries, chargers, personnel, and workspace are needed to support deployed systems.

With extremely faster charge times and longer cycle life, XFC Power Systems can significantly reduce your level of investment to support your battery systems and maintenance requirements - fewer batteries, chargers and personnel are required which substantially lowers your total cost of ownership.

Introducing XFC Power Systems extremely fast charging Lithium batteries designed for mission critical mobile devices for use in healthcare, public safety, industrial and commercial applications.

Patent US 11,784,508 B1 Oct. 10, 2023.

  • XFC Power Systems Expertise

We are experts on designing and testing mobile total power systems including UPS (Uninterruptable Power Systems) using very safe Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP, LiFePO4) battery packs that can deliver high power (6C rate or higher), that can be charged extremely fast (6C rate, in less than 10 minutes for small energy systems) and still deliver at least 2,000 cycles.

  • Lithium Iron Phosphate

LFP/LiFePO4 Lithium chemistry has been available for more than 10 years and proven to be very stable and very safe to abuse usages. New developments adding manganese to its chemistry (LMFP Lithium Manganese Iron Phosphate) will allow the same benefits as the existing LFP and will increase its Capacity and Energy.

Battery Packs/Power Systems Size

Depending on the end market application there are different types of products that are available mostly depending on the system/battery size, power, energy, and runtime requirements. Four main markets are driving the requirements:

  1. Small systems for 2-way radios, typical 10W power, 7 to 10V range, 12 hours runtime that can be charged in less than 10 minutes with a cycle life of 2,000 cycles.
  2. Medium Systems for Medical carts, typical 500Wh, 12V power with DC to AC converter 120W, 20 minutes charge with 8-10hour runtime and cycle life of 2000 cycles.
  3. Medium Systems for Drones, typically from 500Wh to 1500Wh and 12V to 48V application depending on the total payload space and weight available that could be charged in less than one hour, and still deliver a cycle life of 2,000 cycles.
  4. Medium to large systems for Mobile Robots typically from 500Wh to 5000Wh that could be charged in less than one hour, and still deliver a cycle life of 2,000 cycles.

Power Profile Requirements

It is vital for all these markets to know the exact requirements of the power profile requirement for typical and worst runs depending on the applications. XFC power systems developed a tool that will monitor that activity (Power, Voltage, Current and others) that will permit the development of the adequate power system and battery for a reliable (2,000 cycles) and Safe power systems delivering the power and the energy for the specific applications.
